IDEEdit

An Integrated Development Environment or IDE is a software application, potentially comprising many components, that aims to serve as an integrated environment for editing, compiling (or otherwise building), testing and debugging software.

An example IDE is Xcode, the free IDE provided by Apple as part of the Xcode Tools for Mac OS X.
