Description

I would like an advanced option in Synergy to have the floater display below all windows, so that it integrates with the desktop.

Thanks for submitting the request. I thought I already had a request for this in the database but I can't find it.

I've reworded the summary slightly; I know you only ask for "below all (desktop)" level but it makes sense to offer a number of options, I think:

    - below all (Desktop) - above all - normal window order

See request #274 and request #282, which are related features.

I am a bit of a doofus because I forgot to mention that the "Floater on the desktop" feature is already implemented and has been for a long time. It's just that there's no user interface for it.

See the release notes for version 1.3 (September 2004!):

    https://wincent.dev/a/products/synergy-classic/history/

Specifically: 'New "power user" feature (accessible from command-line), display floater on desktop. To activate, enter "defaults write org.wincent.Synergy desktopFloater -bool true" in the Terminal and restart Synergy Classic. To deactivate, enter "defaults write org.wincent.Synergy desktopFloater -bool false".'

See also this forum thread (specifically about appearing above everything, including games like World of Warcraft):

Changing assignment to reflect my new email address.

Cool this works great. Thanks a lot for the tip. Although I have to admit a preference for this would be nice.
