Description

Hi!

I recently upgraded from a PowerMac G4 (took me long enough, right?) to a new-ish iMac running Snow Leopard. It allowed me to migrate and upgrade Synergy, but for some reason, when I try to run the Synergy preferences it takes forever, then get a message saying "Connection failed / The server 'Power Mac G4' may not exist or it is unavailable at this time..."

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling (including using AppTrap to get any extra files floating around). I've tried using Spotlight to search for anything Synergy related to no avail. For some reason, Synergy still wants to find something off my old G4...

Appreciate any and all help you can offer!

Thanks, George

I'm not sure, but I wonder if it has something to do with your Launch Services database. See my reply to issue #888 for more info. That issue is very old now (2008), so I fear some of the details may have changed since then. I haven't heard any more reports of Launch Service related problems either.
