Rotate the Floater

Is it possible to implement a preference for rotating the floater? Right now I have it tucked in the lower-right corner of the screen, horizontal along the bottom. While it is relatively unobtrusive there, I still find myself wanting it to take up even less screen real estate on a regular basis - without having to set it to vanish after x seconds, as I'd still like to be able to see it at a glance.
Is there a way to grant the option for rotation of the floater so that it'd be vertical? I know the text would be harder to read unless you tilt your head 90° to match, but it would still be 1) fairly readable, and 2) no longer keep poking one long edge out over my web browsing/etc windows.

I've made a ticket for this in the feature requests database, ticket #1557.

Still waiting on this feature to be implemented. I currently run an old version of Synergy (the one within System Preferences). It still works fine in Snow Leopard on the latest iTunes. This feature would be a great reason to pay for the upgrade. *hinthint*
