Steps to reproduce? Can't get it to do what you describe here.

To reproduce pick a track that has an album cover (to be sure that it exists on amazon). Stop synergy and delete the art from the album covers directory. Restart synergy and play that track. On my 17" powerbook I see the artwork get fetched and put in the folder but even when I bring up the floater again while the track is playing I still only get the synergy icon. However if I skip forward to any other track and then back to the track in question the floater shows the proper album art.

Same for me. The cover s downloaded, but not shown in the floater. When I open the track again it is displayed correctly.

Although I couldn't reproduce this when it was first reported, I too can now reproduce it with the latest version of Synergy. I had a look at the code yesterday to see why this might be happening and I couldn't immediately see the cause, but I'm going to keep looking and see if I can figure out what's going wrong...
Marking as ASSIGNED.

Another vote for this fix. I'm using Synergy on a media center to display the floater constantly on a TV, and it's quite annoying.
I've found that actions like pausing the track and even unchecking the track in iTunes while it's playing will cause the floater to update.

Couldn't figure out the cause of this last time I looked but am going to take another look now. I'd like to get this squished for 3.0.

Finding the same bug on an upgrade to Leopard. Updated to sysnergy 3.2 but that didn't fix it.
Confirm the album art is downloaded but not displayed the first time a track starts to play. Pausing the track and then starting it will display the downloaded artwork. Artwork is displayed on the second and subsequent plays.
Annoying as it all worked fine prior to my upgrade to Leopard.

Kevan, I suspect that what you're seeing is actually a different issue that is specific to Leopard. Check out bug #601:
