Description

Playing an MPEG stream in iTunes which also caries metadata for each song causes the Growl floater to be displayed with the name of the stream only and a random album picture. The floater is displayed each time a new song starts playing in the stream. Metadata being displayed in iTunes, it would be nice if Synergy could also announces songs playing.

Hi Laurent, thanks for the report. Can you provide a bit more information so that I can reproduce the problem here? Specifically, what is the source of the "MPEG stream"? Where is it coming from? What is it?

Hi Vincent. You can just play an MPEG stream like http://82.197.167.134:80 or http://scfire-chi0l-1.stream.aol.com:80/stream/1002. I believed these are Shoutcast streams. After further testing, it seems that the problem is only when you use Growl for the notifications. When switching to the built-in floater songs titles and artists are correctly displayed. Not with Growl.

Ok, thanks for narrowing it down and providing the extra information... will see if I can figure out why it is happening.
