Can you attach the actual crash log? The stuff you've posted only says that the crash log has been written to the following location, it's not the actually crash log itself:
/Users/williammcdonald/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/Synergy.crash.log
Also helpful would be more information about exactly what happens when the crash occurs... for example, what type of image are you trying to transfer (jpg, gif etc)? To what type of file (mp3, aac-encoded file etc)? Have you tried the trouble-shooting steps listed on the following page?
If you can reliably reproduce the flaw, you could attach a sample image and ideally a sample target file.

For an Ibook g3. When i select transfer timages to itunes after control clicking the play/pause key synergy turns off. I think the attac. is the chrash log. As for knowing what image to what file i was under the assumption it had all that figuered out due to its connection to the internet.

Thanks very much for attaching the crash log. The crash is indeed occurring in the Foundation framework when Synergy tries to prepare the Apple Event needed to send the image to iTunes:
Thread 0 Crashed: 0 com.apple.AE 0x923c8518 _ZN11AEEventImplC4EmmPK6AEDescll + 0x88 1 com.apple.AE 0x923c9918 AECreateAppleEvent + 0x54 2 com.apple.Foundation 0x90aa605c _NS_AECreateAppleEvent + 0x78 3 com.apple.Foundation 0x90aa5f94 -[NSAppleEventDescriptor initWithEventClass:eventID:targetDescriptor:returnID:transactionID:] + 0x34 4 com.apple.Foundation 0x90aa5f44 +[NSAppleEventDescriptor appleEventWithEventClass:eventID:targetDescriptor:returnID:transactionID:] + 0x60
I am not sure what the cause might be. Perhaps a corrupted image file? Or an oversize image file?

Does this happen with all images or only just some of them? Can you please attach an image which exhibits the fault so that I can test it here locally? You can find such an image by selecting "Show Album Covers folder" from the Synergy Global Menu. The image file for the currently playing track will be selected in the Finder.
Did you perform the trouble-shooting steps recommended in the article I linked to above? (https://wincent.dev/s/bugs/) For example, trying from a different user account etc. Ruling out other potential causes will help us narrow down our focus and find the cause of the crash.

It crashes with every type. I tried with many different songs and image types. The way I get around it is to play the song and see if syn. finds the cover. if it does I highlight all the tracks from that album and hit apple i. I open the cover art folder and drag and click in the artwork feild i opened when pressed apple i. While not a quick method to emmbed the art to the tracks it gets the job done. This is why I don't think it is the images because it crashes on all ( itried five different times with different songs and they are mostly jpgs {which is what syn. seems to find most frequently.) I will attach a cover i know it crashed on. There is only one user on this computer. Thanx for all this help.

Hi there! It seems I have exact same problem. Also running on a g3 with panther 10.3.9 and using iTunes 6.0.4. My crash.log seems to be too long to be posted here?

Attaching the report emailed me by Julius, looks identical to the other one. Still no idea what might cause this but the set-ups seem identical. Would be interested to see if the problem goes away with iTunes 7.

Created an attachment (id=137) "Transfer Cover to iTunes" Synergy.crash.log in OS X 10.2.8
I think there are several crashes recorded in this file, all caused by selecting "Transfer Cover to iTunes" in the Synergy menu.

Indeed, and they all crash inside the AECreateAppleEvent function. What version of Synergy are you running?

This bug occurs with every version of iTunes (various versions from 6-7) and Synergy (1.4,3.0) I've tested it on, so it seems to be a problem between Synergy the OS (10.3.9).
