Bug #421: Can't "drill down" in "Genres" and "Artists" submenus

Description

As noted in the 0.4 beta release notes there is a regression in version 0.4:

  • The "Genres" and "Artists" menu items only show albums; they do not allow you to "drill" down to the level of individual tracks. This is because much of the Global Menu code has been rewritten and there is

still a small amount of work to be done before full functionality is achieved.

Will be exploring this issue today and hopefully will be able to release a build that contains a fix shortly.

    Ok, found the cause of the regression and fixed it.

    Adding the "fixed-in-prerelease" keyword.

    To be notified when the next release comes out (containing the fix) subscribe to the announcements mailing list.

    At this stage not sure if the release will be 0.4.1 or 0.5, but I plan to release it fairly soon.

    If you wish to confirm that this bug is fixed you can try out one of the Synergy Advance nightly builds. As noted in the nightlies page, these are automated builds which represent a snapshot of the current development status. They are not tested and may have issues of their own; the latest official release (0.4) is still the one that's recommended for daily use.

    Now that 0.5b is out removing "fixed-in-prerelease" keyword and marking as FIXED/CLOSED.
