Bug #385: play/pause icon visibility in menu bar

Description

Is there someway to get the play/pause icon to stay visible in the menu bar when other applications are active, such as Word or Adobe Acrobat Pro, or is it only visible when the desktop is selected?

    Hi John! Sorry that I've taken so long to respond to your question; I never saw your post because the "Assigned To:" field was set to you, not me, so I never received notification.

    In any case, to answer your question I presume you are talking about applications which occupy a lot of menu bar space, right? Please see this forum thread for details:
