   Thanks for bring this to my attention.

   There is a spec for similar markup in the spec suite:

   [mailto:user@example.com john]

   and another for:

   [user@example.com john]

   Both of those work, but evidently, in the example you cite it is tripping up over the email in the link text, trying to autolink it instead of using it as link text.

   I'll see what I can do to fix this.

   I've just updated the site to use the latest version of the wikitext gem, which contains the fix.

   Here — contact@openfoundry.org — is an example of the original markup you posted showing that it is now correctly formatted.
