Feature request #1882: Option to stop CommandT from following symlinks

Description

Much like ack doesn't follow symlinks by default. It would be nice if this were also the case for CommandT or at least if there were an option to disable following symlinks. I have a large directory with symlinks to big files, and I'd like to avoid indexing those directories as well. It significantly slows down CommandT for me.

Yes I complete agree, as I have recursive symlinks and it really complicates the situation.

Generally I think when something you're doing is causing you pain, it's a hint that you might be doing it wrong.

This pull request looks like it might address this issue. I've merged it into the "next" branch for now. I suspect that it might need some follow-up work before it can be merged to "master" (because I doubt Windows will do the right thing with File.readlink). Will mark this one as closed in any case; I suggest continuing the discussion on ticket #1838.
