    Note that have to be careful about this; must make sure that my libmemcached build works with the new memcached (may need to rebuild it). This may also require the memcache gem to be rebuilt, which is a bit of a pain (see ticket #1669).

    This can probably wait until ticket #1694 ("Migrate to Amazon Linux AMI") is under way.
