Command-t is awesome but seems to crash whenever i try to use it in conjunction with vim tabs.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. open new tab with :tabnew
  2. invoke CommandT

    Can't reproduce, I'm afraid. Can you provide more information?

    • What do you mean by "crash" exactly?
    • What version of Vim are you using?
    • What version of Ruby?

    Most crashes involving Command-T (in fact, every crash that's ever been reported) have been due to compiling it using a different version of Ruby than the one that Vim was linked against (ie. 32-bit vs 64-bit, or 1.8.x vs 1.9.x etc), so my suspicion is that that's what you are seeing here.

    • Ruby 1.8.7 patchlevel 249

    (Ubuntu 10, x86_64, 64bit system)

    vim is linked against ruby1.8

    Can you do a make clean and then paste in the output of a fresh make run in the directory where you built Command-T?

    I just compiled vim-7.3 beta with ruby support, the problem seems to have gone away, it probably was as you stated above, a badly linked vim...
