Bug #1412: "Transfer cover to iTunes" fails in Synergy 4.1a and iTunes 8.2.1

Description

Though Synergy correctly downloads cover art with the above configuration, the "Transfer cover to iTunes" command in the menubar fails (no error dialog, no beep).

Console shows the following when the command is selected: 

9/22/09 01:37:07 	Synergy[3586]	Error transferring cover art: (null)

    Thanks, rotorglow. I am able to reproduce this one so will hopefully have a fix ready soon.

    You're welcome. FYI, the "Get Artwork From Synergy" Applescript is more visibly broken on Snow Leopard (it throws a "can't create query" error and shows most of the raw Spotlight query that's used to get the art). I know you don't support it, but you might want to consider no longer distributing it.

    Yes, probably simpler to just remove it. Don't even use it myself.

    In any case, I can see that iTunes is returning an error here. I'm going to see if I can find out more details about it.

    Ok, I've fixed this, at least with iTunes 9.0. I am not sure when the behavior in iTunes changed as I don't have any older installs at hand right now to test it out, but I'm guessing that this changed in a recent version (post 8.0 given that you say it's happening with 8.2.1).

    If all goes according to plan the fix will be included in the 4.1b release, which I am hoping to release early this week.

    This problem still (again?) exists in Synergy 4.5.2, iTunes 11.3, and OS X 10.6.8.
